About Me
Avery Nape is a graduate from West Chester University of Pennsylvania, with a Bachelors degree in Media and Culture and a minor in Russian language.
Academically, Avery has maintained a high academic standing, graduating Cum Laude in 2023. During his time at West Chester, he was an active member of Sigma Pi fraternity as well as the Russian Club. His involvement in Sigma Pi has allowed him to continuously develop his leadership and social skills and to participate in philanthropic work. Nape also has a strong passion for writing and plans on using it as an outlet for print journalism and one day, novels; using politics and culture as a focal point in his work. During his time at West Chester, Avery focused primarily on the study of video production and editing, as well as strategic communication and public relations; all providing him with a wide range of skills for a career in news media.
Professionally, Nape has been employed in a variety of workplaces from restaurants, retail stores, and car dealerships, to his most recent role as a content creator for Vail Resorts. He has experience in photography and videography, social media management, media writing, customer service, and finance, as well an entrepreneurial background selling art, sneakers, and other high-ticket items. Through these experiences, he has been exposed to a wide variety of people and environments, which have allowed him to become much more adaptable and well cultured in the process. His diverse collection of employment opportunities has both motivated and prepared him to pursue a career in news media, bringing him a strong work ethic as well as an understanding of rhetoric, communication, and time management. He feels these skills and traits are not only necessary for a future in media, but that they are crucial to everyday life as well.
In his spare time, Avery Nape enjoys reading, hiking, skiing, photography, and pretty much anything art related. He also enjoys writing, collecting art, trading cards and rare coins and has a strong interest in the Russian language and culture, as well as other global cultures.
